After the album caught fire in the States, a film followed in 1999, along with several solo albums by contributing members, all under the Buena Vista Social Club moniker. The Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club plays the Green Center on<br>Aug. 16, as part of their Adios Tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The original band members hit their prime in the 1940s and \u201950s, and though some of these integral musicians, like Compay Segundo, Rub\u00e9n Gonz\u00e1lez and Ibrahim Ferrer, have since passed, the current touring ensemble keeps the tradition of Cuban&nbsp;<em>son<\/em>&nbsp;music alive and well. Surviving members include trumpeter Manuel \u201cGuajiro\u201d Mirabal, la\u00fad player Barbarito Torres, trombonist and conductor Jesus \u201cAguaje\u201d Ramos, and the multitalented guitarist Eliades Ochoa alongside newer members.
