It\u2019s even more incredible to imagine that the band that wrote the legendary\u00a0<em>Pyromania<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>On Through the Night<\/em>\u00a0albums would end up scarring its career even further\u2014remember \u201cPour Some Sugar on Me\u201d?\u2014using Max Martin, Andreas Carlsson and Per Aldeheim, the same pop machine writers used by boy bands. One listen to the Martin-penned \u201cUnbelievable\u201d will have diehard fans reaching for the stop button. Like countless bands of its ilk, Def Leppard once ruled the roost, along with four on the floor-style rockers like AC\/DC. The band claims it doesn\u2019t need the money, it\u2019s just got some \u201cgreat songs\u201d it wants to share. I\u2019ve heard none on\u00a0<em>X<\/em>, its tenth and most tepid \u201crocker\u201d to date. The boys claim they don\u2019t want to be considered another heavy metal band.
